At that stage, the entire SURPAC software suite was installed onto a 5″ floppy disk and ran on non-graphic, desk top computers using first generation, 8 bit processors.

Over the past 35 years, SURPAC Software has been continually expanded and improved. Faster and better computer processors, operating systems and programming languages have enabled SURPAC to grow into a comprehensive suite of applications, covering virtually all fields of survey computations and draughting.
