Fallout 4 Mod To Skip Intro

The first time you watch an intro video is always exciting, but they tend to lose their magic upon the sixth or seventh viewing so we won’t judge you if you want to skip the Fallout 4 intro. One Steam user has written a detailed guide to doing exactly that if you’re playing Fallout 4 on a PC.

I cannot for the life of me get this mod to work. It used to just fine, but now the game doesn't even recognize it exists. Anyone have an idea of how to fix this? Only mods installed right now are truby9, defui, and the unofficial fallout 4 patch. Nvm, was an ownership issue with windows. A mod to skip the intro - posted in Fallout 4 Mod Talk: Is there a mod to skip the initial pre-war section?

Any changes will create a new set of saves under the new character name. I have one save for a character named Start that I keep for when I want to start a new game and don't want to go through the intro again. I don't want to do that becuase save will eventually muddle, plus mods, plus its un-immersive. Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch: Fixes stuff Bethesda didn't. AWKCR (Armor and Weapon Keyword Community Resource): Allows armor and weapon mods to have more flexibility, basically. Extended Dialogue Interface: Shows exactly what your character is going to say, instead of just one word that can be misinterpreted. The author of the mod has this stickied at the top of the mod comments: I know this can be achieved by editing the Fallou4.ini, with this mod you will save some space on your HDD. Either use this mod or edit the ini file. How to skip intro when loading game. Open up Fallout4.ini and under General add: SIntroSequence=0.

1) Go to C:Users[PC account name]DocumentsMy GamesFallout 4 (if you’ve moved the game file or modified any folders, you’ll have to figure out exactly where it’s located) Proteus 8.8 software download.

2) Open Fallout4.ini

2) Open steamappscommonFallout 4DataVideo and delete the files “GameIntro_V3_B.bk2”

If you choose to delete the entire game intro file, it’s probably a good idea to have a backup somewhere else – you never know when nostalgia might strike.

The PC version of Fallout 4 has a bevy of tweaks and thankfully many of them related to the engine are pretty well know from the Skyrim days. So, here are the best of the best and the rest of the rest Fallout 4 interface tweaks.

There are three key files you need to find to make these tweaks. These are:
Fallout4Prefs.ini (found in your Steam directory)
It is located in your Steam directory in the Fallout 4 directory inside the Fallout 4 root directory and is called Fallout4Prefs.ini. The path most likely looks like C:Program Files (x86)SteamsteamappscommonFallout 4Fallout 4Fallout4Prefs.ini
Fallout4.ini (found in your My Games directory)
This is located in your My Games folder and is called Fallout4.ini. The path most likely looks like C:UsersUserNameDocumentsMy GamesFallout4.ini
Fallout4Prefs.ini (found in your My Games directory, different file from the Fallout4Prefs.ini in your Steam directory)
This is located in your My Games folder and is called Fallout4Prefs.ini. The path most likely looks like C:UsersUserNameDocumentsMy GamesFallout4Prefs.ini

With that out of the way, onto the Fallout 4 tweaks.

Field of view (FOV) tweak

Field of view is the first tweak to consider. Just add the following lines to your [Display] section of your ini file. I like 90, but some people use 110. If you don't have an opinion then 90 is my recommendation.
Open C:UsersUserNameDocumentsMy GamesFallout4.ini
Add, in the [Display] section:

[Display]
fDefaultWorldFOV=90
fDefault1stPersonFOV=90
Open C:UsersUserNameDocumentsMy GamesFallout4Prefs.ini
Add, in the [Display] section:
[Display]
fDefaultWorldFOV=90
fDefault1stPersonFOV=90
Open C:Program Files (x86)SteamsteamappscommonFallout 4Fallout 4Fallout4Prefs.ini
Add, in the [Display] section:
[Display]
fDefaultWorldFOV=90
fDefault1stPersonFOV=90
You should now have a more natural field of view on your next play session. There are field of view options in the [Interface] section. Don't worry about those.
Now, tweak the Pipboy and your gun!
1. Open the Console with Tilde (~)
2. Type: 'fov ##' (smaller is larger)
3. Type 'refreshini'
4. Type Tilde again
5. Save and Reload and G2G

Tweak to remove mouse acceleration

Open C:UsersUserNameDocumentsMy GamesFallout4.ini
Add, in the [Controls] section:

bMouseAcceleration=0
Open C:UsersUserNameDocumentsMy GamesFallout4Prefs.ini
Add, in the [Display] section:

bForceIgnoreSmoothness=1
Open C:Program Files (x86)SteamsteamappscommonFallout 4Fallout 4Fallout4Prefs.ini
Add, in the [Display] section

bForceIgnoreSmoothness=1

Frame rate unlock tweak

Frame rates above 60 have been known to do bad things in Skyrim and all indications are that this is true in Fallout 4 also.
Open C:UsersUserNameDocumentsMy GamesFallout4Prefs.ini
Search for: iPresentInterval=1
Change to:iPresentInterval=0

Skip the Fallout 4 Loading Intro

If you are like me you don't leave the game very often, but if you want to get in game just a little faster try out this tweak.
Go to: C:Program Files (x86)SteamsteamappscommonFallout 4DataVideo
Delete the file GameIntro_V3_B.bk2
You can also skip the intro by making this adjustment:
Open C:UsersUserNameDocumentsMy GamesFallout4.ini

Add, in the [General] section:

SIntroSequence=1

Make Vertical and Horizontal Mouse Travel The Same

Open C:UsersUserNameDocumentsMy GamesFallout4.ini
Find:fMouseHeadingYScale=.021
Change:fMouseHeadingYScale=.03738
This will work on 16:9 monitors, other resolutions and ratios may need tweaks.

Fix Invisible Lockpicks

Apparently when unlocking framerates and without VSync your lockpicks can seem to disappear or turn invisible. To fix this requires a few small changes.
Open C:UsersUserNameDocumentsMy GamesFallout4Prefs.ini
Under the [Display] section change:
iSize W=NUMBER1
iSize H=NUMBER2
to:
iSize W=NUMBER1-1
iSize H=NUMBER2-1
If NUMBER1 was 1920 then you would change it to 1919. The same goes for NUMBER2.

Disable Gamepad

Gps tracker for mac. If you know you don't want to user your gamepad, but you want to keep it plugged in then Fallout 4 will freak out and put you in controller mode every time. To keep this from happening, disable the controller like this:
Open C:UsersUserNameDocumentsMy GamesFallout4Prefs.ini
Change:
bGamepadEnable=1

to:

Fallout 4 Skip Beginning

bGamepadEnable=0
