Oct 23, 2013 OK - I updated to MAverick and have no scanner. You know, the little white circle with the line through it, indicating that the woftware and drivers will not work on Maverick. So, I went to Epson (I have Epson perfection v500 photo scanner), and they direct me to Apple Software Update at Apple Store. The Apple Store has no update for the epson. Epson Perfection V600 Photo Scanner Driver Download – Epson Perfection V600 Photo Scanner Driver is software that works on a computer to be able to connect with the Epson Perfection V600 Photo Scanner. When the develop control from the computer is sent out to the scanner, Epson Perfection V600 Photo Scanner Driver will certainly intermediary and also convert details from the application.

None of the drivers I've found will work properly.
Epson is very clear about it: only one Recommended for you: “Scanner Driver and EPSON Scan Utility v4.0.2.0”, epson17312.dmg for Mac OS X 10.5 – macOS 10.13. This file contains the Epson Perfection V500 Series EPSON Scan Utility and Universal Binary Scanner Driver (TWAIN) v4.0.2.0.
